Technology Sampler (3rd - 5th grades)

Week 2 (7/1 - 7/5) (no camp Thursday 7/4) 

  • Monday: 3D modeling with TinkerCAD Campers will explore 3D modeling by designing various objects in TinkerCAD! Campers will also investigate how 3D printing is used to solve real world problems.
  • Tuesday: Lego WeDo Ignite curiosity, solve real world problems, and prepare your child for the future by signing up for this session. Campers will engage in 21st century skills (Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, and Critical Thinking) as they design, build, and test Lego models. Campers will explore the basics of computer science as they program their models to move using motors and sensors! Does your child love Legos? Help them take their passion to the next level.
  • Wednesday: Adventures in Programming Using and MIT’s Scratch web-based programming, campers will create their own games, art, and digital stories that they can share - all while developing problem-solving, collaboration, persistence, and computational thinking skills. Campers will get experience being a programmer both online and with physical robots. Additionally, campers in this engaging session will use Makey Makey invention kits to take their game design to the next level by devising a controller out of bananas, Play Doh, or other conductive materials!
