Introduction to Digital Photography (3rd - 5th grades)
Week 5 (7/19 - 7/23)
Have you ever wanted to know more about digital photography? Campers will learn to master the basics in this camp for beginner to intermediate photographers. Using camp or cameras from home, we will explore compositional concepts and learn how to edit using Photoshop. Campers will learn how to use Macro, understand the impact of different shutter speeds and creatively use color options.
As technical options are explained and practiced, our Campers will be developing an ability to “go beyond” automatic settings to successfully make images inspired by their imagination and creativity.
Campers will also have the opportunity to deconstruct old cameras as a week-long concurrent activity so they can further understand how a camera works.
An introduction to Photoshop, project planning and development, creative thinking and using constructive feedback to improve photographic work will all come into play.
